New villa project for Samui
Property Report Thailand
August 2008
Ideal Villas have launched an 18 rai project set on a
hillside in Koh Samui.
Chaweng Sila boasts 200 degrees of simply breathtaking
views from Koh Matlang to Koh Som and Koh Phangan, with
the Big Buddha statue sitting proud and golden, north of
the beautiful bay of Chaweng.
The project comprises of 35, 2-bedroom duplexes and 14,
three and four bedroom villas and construction on phase
one commenced in February of this year. Six of the
duplexes and four of the villas have been sold pre-launch
and early indicator of this projects success. Chaweng Sila
is an opportunity for mid range-buyers in Koh Samui.
The developer has joined forces with SWR-CEC Construction
who have been building luxury villas on the island for 8
years. Properties in their portfolio include some of the
most ultra-stylish properties on Samui such as Ban Mekkala
and Ban Kinaree.
The architects are Tropical Arch, another Samui-based
company with a wealth of experience.
The topography of the site features a lot of granite rock,
which incidentally is what Sila translates too in Thai.
These rock formations will be playfully used to create
stunning landscape features, as well as a large, cooling
rock waterfall, all of which will work to enhance the
tropical atmosphere.
Adding to the beauty of each property is the attraction of
the developmentīs incredibly central location. The airport
is fifteen minutes drive and the supermarkets Tesco Lotus
are just minutes away for your convenience.
Chaweng Sila also offers mortgages available up to 50%
over 10 years, a new advantage in the developerīs
repertoire, which for rental investors represents a
particularly attractive offer as they can offset their
yields against mortgage payments.
Completion slated for December 2010. Four show houses will
be ready for viewing early 2009.
